Located on the southwestern coast on the island of Formentera, Es Migjorn is a six-kilometer-long and wide white sand beach with rocky portions. Es Migjorn is the longest and the wildest beach on Formentera – it occupies most of the southern part of the island and is popularly known as the Beach of the South. The beach is tucked between Cap de Barbaria and Far de la Mola and has a beautiful backdrop of juniper and pine forests with many bays and sandy coves that are separated by a few rocks that provide incredible views of the Mediterranean Coast. The beach is mainly divided into four sections: Es Ca Marí is a pristine area close to the San Ferran village with a few upscale restaurants located at the western end of the beach; Migjorn, which makes up the central part where there are several hotels and apartments; Es Arenals, the widest section of the beach that attracts many tourists, which has a beautiful background of many cafes and restaurants; and Es Copinar, which is positioned to its east.
