Located in the western part of the Crown Point peninsula, Riviera Shores Beach - also known as Riviera Shores - is a beach with light brown sand. This beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs and is a part of a large municipal aquatic park known as Mission Bay Park.
Amenities
Riviera Shores Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities except a biking path, so plan your trip accordingly. Dogs on leash are allowed on the beach before 9 am and after 6 pm between April and October. Between November and March dogs are allowed before 9 am and after 4 pm.

Getting to Riviera Shores Beach is easy - the access trail to the beach is situated near the intersection between Riviera Drive and Moorland Drive, and street parking spaces are available around a couple of blocks from this intersection.

There are many attractions near Riviera Shores Beach. Tecolote Canyon Natural Park & Nature Center is based around the Tecolote Canyon. This park has six-and-a half miles of hiking and biking trails which can be used to explore the park’s vibrant landscape. In addition, the Tecolote Nature Center also offers interesting exhibits on the unique biodiversity of Tecolote Canyon. The Crystal Pier is a wooden pier which is an excellent pier-fishing spot and offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Pacific Ocean. If you are looking for another attraction near Riviera Shores Beach, Kate Sessions Park is a 79-acre park that offers amazing Instagram-worthy views. This park is named in honor of the renowned local horticulturist Kate Sessions. The park has two separate sections - one section is popular among families and has walking paths, restrooms, barbecues, drinking fountains, and picnic tables. The other section of this park has coastal scrub vegetation that you can explore via hiking trails. This park also has a children’s playground.
