Located in Cape Canaveral in Brevard County, Peacock Beach is a long and wide white sand beach.  The beach is positioned near the inlet of Port Canaveral and north of Jetty Park along the shores of the vast Atlantic Ocean.  The beach has a beautiful background of many protected dunes and coastal vegetation, adding allure to its beauty, which provides incredible views.

Peacock Beach has a few amenities including a lifeguard tower at the northern end of the beach and a boardwalk, so plan your trip accordingly.

Peacock Beach offers many fun activities including swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, bodysurfing, water surfing, parasailing, fishing, wildlife watching, and picnicking.  If you are planning to go into the water near the beach, we recommend being careful, as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents.  It is an ideal spot for windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather.  If you like fishing, you may catch many fish, including speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, red drum, and black sea bass.  However, we recommend abiding by local fishing regulations.  Depending on the time of year, visitors can also spot dolphins, manatees, and sea turtles in the water near the beach.   Peacock Beach is ideal for visitors looking for a serene experience, as this beach sees fewer visitors than other nearby beaches.  Dogs are not allowed on the beach, and it is open from sunrise until sunset.

Peacock Beach does not offer an access path for people with disabilities.

Getting to Peacock Beach is easy - the beach has a few paid street parking spots located near 400 Harbor Drive, which provides easy access to the beach.

Peacock Beach got its name from the flock of wild peacocks that wander freely near the beach.  The presence of the beautiful peacocks on the beach gives Peacock Beach its avian charm and a fun, quirky claim to fame among Florida beaches.  The peacocks have become the mascots of this hidden gem beach.
