Overview
Located in Cape Canaveral in Brevard County, Peacock Beach is a long and wide white sand beach. The beach is positioned near the inlet of Port Canaveral and north of Jetty Park along the shores of the vast Atlantic Ocean. The beach has a beautiful background of many protected dunes and coastal vegetation, adding allure to its beauty, which provides incredible views.

Peacock Beach has a few amenities including a lifeguard tower at the northern end of the beach and a boardwalk, so plan your trip accordingly.
Activities
Peacock Beach offers many fun activities including swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, bodysurfing, water surfing, parasailing, fishing, wildlife watching, and picnicking. If you are planning to go into the water near the beach, we recommend being careful, as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents. It is an ideal spot for windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather. If you like fishing, you may catch many fish, including speckled trout, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, red drum, and black sea bass. However, we recommend abiding by local fishing regulations. Depending on the time of year, visitors can also spot dolphins, manatees, and sea turtles in the water near the beach. Peacock Beach is ideal for visitors looking for a serene experience, as this beach sees fewer visitors than other nearby beaches. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, and it is open from sunrise until sunset.

It has many amenities, including a playground, a paved trail, exercise stations, a covered riverside boardwalk, picnic tables, barbeque grill areas, a covered pavilion, electric vehicle charging stations, and a small library. Oars and Paddles Park is a riverfront park that offers many fun activities, including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, and rowing (with access to the Banana River via the Whiting Waterway). It also has many amenities, including a boathouse for Space Coast Crew, a floating launch dock, a playground with slides, a pavilion, picnic tables, and restrooms. Banana River Park is a dog-friendly riverfront park that offers many amenities including a fishing pier, a kayak launch area, a playground with a swing set, picnic areas, picnic tables, and restrooms. If you are looking for another nearby attraction, Sands Space History Center is a small museum that aims to preserve and showcase the history of space exploration through interesting artifacts, documents, and exhibits.
