2nd Light Beach(Second Light Beach)

2^nd Light Beach offers a couple of amenities including restrooms, showers, and a visitor center. 

There are many fun activities at 2^nd Light Beach including swimming, surfing, fishing, hiking, birdwatching, wildlife watching, and picnicking. If you are looking for additional activities, Coconut Point is a popular surfing and sea turtle nesting site south of the beach. 

Getting to 2^nd Light Beach is very easy – the beach’s free parking lot is situated at the point where South Atlantic Avenue meets Jupiter Street. After parking, you will have to walk a few minutes east to the beach. 

If you are looking for attractions near 2^nd Light Beach, there are many options within a 25-minute drive of the beach.  McKee Botanical Gardens is a non-profit subtropical botanical garden with collections of many plants including lantana, clivia, hibiscus, plumeria, and Victoria cruziana.  If you like hiking, the nature preserve Coconut Point Sanctuary has a one-mile-long hiking trail that overlooks the Indian River and is home to many rare and endangered plants and animals. Vero Beach Museum of Art features a sculpture garden, museum store, art research library, art exhibitions, art performances, exhibition tours, events for children, cultural celebrations, workshops, and seminars.  Another great attraction near 2^nd Light Beach is Andretti Thrill Park, an amusement park with many rides including a pirate ship swing, train ride, merry-go-round swings, horse carousel, go-karts, bumper cars, and miniature golf courses. 

If you get hungry, you can drive 10 minutes to many restaurants near 2^nd Light Beach. The German restaurant Café Coconut Cove has a nice menu that includes Rouladen, Eintopf, Schnitzel, currywurst, brot, and brotchen.  Robburritos serves numerous fast food options including burritos, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and nachos. Another good restaurant near 2^nd Light Beach is the pizza restaurant Oceanside Pizza – Melbourne Beach – Florida that features homemade pizza, breadsticks, and chicken wings.
