Overview

Located along the Brevard County shoreline, Hightower Beach Park is an 18-acre recreational park that has an unnamed white-sand beach witih some nearby coastal vegetation. 

Amenities

Although Hightower Beach does not have lifeguards, the beach and the area around it have many amenities including benches, a boardwalk, an observation area, a pavilion, picnic areas, restrooms, tables, walking trails, and water fountains. 

Activities

Hightower Beach Park offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, picnicking, fishing, biking, wildlife watching, swimming, surfing, kayaking, canoeing, skimboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, boating, jet-skiing, surf-skiing, water-skiing, and parasailing. If you are planning to enter the water near Hightower Beach Park, we recommend being careful as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents. Depending on the time of the year you can view many kinds of animals in the water here including dolphins and sea turtles. If you are planning to fish in the water near Hightower Beach Park, we recommend following the local fishing regulations. You can explore the park’s vibrant landscape via the boardwalk and the walking trails here. In addition, interpretive signs are also present around the park which offer interesting information about the local biodiversity.

There are many attractions near Hightower Beach Park. Manatee Cove Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course which was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and it offers a fun and challenging golfing session. Riverwalk : A Family Park is a community park that is spread over six acres and has a nature center. The park also has interesting Floridian hammock forests which can be explored via a boardwalk. The park is situated along the banks of the Indian River Lagoon. The park also has a pavilion. If you are looking for another attraction near Hightower Beach Park, Wickham Park is a 391-acre park that is an 18-minute drive away and has pine forests, lakes, and open areas. This park has a campsite which accommodates booth tents and RVs. Wickham Park has an archery area, volleyball courts, a disc golf course, picnic areas, soccer fields, an amphitheater, and horseshoe pits. In addition, it also has nature trails, an exercise trail, and equestrian trails. The park also hosts many exciting community events throughout the year.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Hightower Beach Park.  CuiZine Restaurant & Lounge is an upscale restaurant that serves excellent gourmet dishes including seafood, steaks, salads, soups, and chops. Sun On The Beach offers amazing dishes for breakfast and lunch including eggs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pancakes. Many of the dishes featured in the restaurant’s menu have local origins. If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near Hightower Beach Park, Da Kine Diego’s is a Mexican restaurant with Hawaiian-inspired decor and casual ambiance. This restaurant is known for offering fantastic burritos and tacos.
