Overview
Located only a 10-minute drive south of downtown Laguna Beach, Victoria Beach is one of the city’s most famous beaches because of its Victorian-style Pirate Tower. This medieval-looking tower is a short but rocky hike from the beach access point.
Activities
The gorgeous stretch of light tan sand provides plenty of space for activities and sunbathing. The waves are sometimes rough so swimming is not recommended but surfers enjoy the waves here. Fishing and diving are also popular activities here because of the abundance of sea life. Another unique feature of this beach is the enormous man-made, concrete tide pool. When high tide arrives, this circular pool fills with turquoise waters providing a postcard-worthy shot.
Parking
There is public beach access to the beach with a long stairway that leads you through the cliffs and onto the sand. Public parking at Victoria Beach is limited and only available on the street along Pacific Coast Highway so be sure to plan ahead. Victoria Beach is not easy to spot, but it is directly adjacent to 2713 Victoria Drive. Once you have arrived, there is a long stairway down to the beach that lets you down the north end of the beach.

Restaurants
If you get hungry, you can take a short 10-minute walk to The Loft, a popular brunch spot that’s located in the Montage Laguna Beach resort and has spectacular ocean views. Another restaurant located in this resort is the Mosaic Bar and Grill, a great option for seafood and sandwiches. You can also take a 5-minute drive to Harvest Restauraunt, a local’s favorite for live music and stunning views of the Ben Brown Golf Course and the Aliso Canyons.
Hotels
If you’re looking for a place to stay, check out Montage Laguna Beach, a luxury 5-Star resort that spans 30 acres and has two outdoor swimming pools and a large spa. Another option is The Ranch at Laguna Beach, a hotel and spa that’s located in the Aliso Canyons and has a 9-hole public golf course. We also like the Casa Laguna Hotel and Spa, a Spanish-style hotel from the early 1900’s that’s only a 15-minute walk from Victoria Beach.
