Overview
Nestled between Pearl Street Beach and Bluebird Beach in Laguna Beach, Agate Street Beach is legendary among Laguna locals. With its stunning sandstone cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and glistening expanses of beige sand, Agate Street Beach is truly beautiful. But tourists haven’t really caught onto the beach, so it’s still an incredibly peaceful place to be. To get there, park at one of Pacific Coast Highway and Agate Street’s many metered parking spots.
Activities
At Agate Street Beach, there’s something to do for every beachgoer. Looking for a day of beachside relaxation? Lay down a towel on one of the beach’s sandy nooks, which rest below the beach’s bluffs and sport panoramic views of the ocean. And cool off in the ocean, which is safeguarded by a lifeguard tower. Prefer a more active day of adventure? Agate Street Beach is an underrated surfing spot, as its waves are mild at the shore but have exhilarating breaks as you set out into the water. But beware — from 12 pm to 5 pm during the summer, the beach is for swimmers only. The beach is also a destination for nature-lovers, as its tide pools allow beachgoers the opportunity to view marine animals in their natural habitats.
