Overview
Located in the town of Santa Eulalia del Rio on the eastern coast of Ibiza, Playa de Santa Eulalia – also known as Platja de Santa Eularia, Santa Eulalia Beach, and Santa Eularia Beach – is a curve-shaped and long beach with light brown sand and a few rocky and cemented portions. The central portion of this beach is known as Platja des Riu de Santa Eularia and the southern end of Playa de Santa Eulalia is known as Calo de S'Alga. A river named Rio de Santa Eulalia sometimes flows through Playa de Santa Eulalia. Once this river passes the beach, it flows into the Mediterranean Sea.
Amenities
The northern and central portions of Playa de Santa Eulalia have many amenities including lifeguards, rental facilities for sun loungers, watersports equipment, and beach umbrellas, benches, a wooden shelter with a roof, showers, restrooms, and a nearby walkway. The southernmost part of Playa de Santa Eulalia does not have lifeguards or any other amenities other than nearby rental facilities for sunbeds and beach umbrellas, so please plan accordingly.

Playa de Santa Eulalia offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, water-skiing, hiking, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, parasailing, paddleboarding, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, jet-skiing, boating, wildlife watching, kayaking, and canoeing.
Playa de Santa Eulalia is ideal for less-experienced swimmers because the water here usually has gentle waves and it is mostly clear and shallow. If you are planning to swim, snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, or canoe near Playa de Santa Eulalia, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents.
The southern portion of Playa de Santa Eulalia is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience because this part sees fewer visitors as compared to other beaches around Santa Eulalia del Rio.
Disability Access
The northern and the central portions of Playa de Santa Eulalia have wooden wheelchair-friendly access ramps for visitors with disabilities. In addition, the northern part of Playa de Santa Eulalia also has an amphibious beach wheelchair that can be used by visitors daily from 15th May to 15th October – if you want to use the amphibious beach wheelchair, you can contact the local authorities at +34 971 319 407 for more information regarding this wheelchair.
Parking
Getting to Playa Santa Eulalia is easy – this beach is easily accessible from the southern end of Passeig de s'Alamera and it is also easily accessible from Santa Eulalia del Rio’s town center. There are both paid and free parking lots near this beach, along with multiple paid and free street parking spaces. As an alternate access option for the southern part of Playa de Santa Eulalia, you can access Calo de S'Alga through the northern end of a road named Carrer els Lliris. There are a few free street parking spaces near the northern end of this road.
We recommend visiting the northern part of Playa de Santa Eulalia early during summers because this portion of the beach can get crowded.

There are many attractions near Playa de Santa Eulalia. Pont Vell is a historic bridge that was built in the 16th or 17th century and it is the subject of a few interesting local legends. Puig de Missa – also called the Santa Eulalia Church – is a fortified church that was built in the 16th century and it has a Baroque-style altar. In addition, this church also has a garden and it also offers amazing views of Santa Eularia des Riu. Passeig de s’Alamera is a promenade that offers amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea. In addition, this promenade also has interesting stalls in summer evenings that sell handicrafts, clothing, and local produce. Las Dalias de Ibiza is a popular hippy market that is open on Saturdays and it offers many fun shopping stores selling novelties and handicrafts. In addition, it also offers many great food options and live music performances. If you are looking for another attraction near Playa de Santa Eulalia, Museo Etnográfico de Ibiza displays many interesting artifacts and objects associated with local Ibizan culture.
