Overview

Located near the city of Ibiza, Cala Espart also called Cala d'Espart is a 40-meter-long curve-shaped rocky beach with a lot of pebbles and a few nearby caves.

Cala Espart does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so please plan accordingly.

Activities

Cala Espart offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming, paddleboarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, boating, jet-skiing, wildlife watching, kayaking, surf-skiing, and canoeing.  Cala Espart is ideal for less-experienced swimmers because the water here usually has gentle waves and is mostly clear.  Cala Espart is also popular with scuba divers and snorkelers, who visit this beach to explore the vibrant marine biodiversity here.

Cala Espart is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience because this beach sees fewer visitors as compared to other Ibizan beaches.

There are a few caves near Cala Espart these caves are used by local fishermen for storing boats and you can also enter these caves and explore them.

Parking

Getting to Cala Espart can be slightly difficult while this beach is located near the southern end of a road named Carrer Roma and it is easily accessible from the nearby city of Ibiza, the road leading to Cala Espart is considerably rugged and some portions of it are also narrow. 

There is a small free parking lot around 350 meters from the beach.  Once you park at this parking lot, you need to walk along a rugged dirt path leading to the beach.

If you like taking pictures with excellent views, Cala Espart offers amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea and the southern Ibizan coast.


Attractions

There are many attractions near Cala Espart within a 25-minute drive.  The town of Es Puig d’en Vallsis a town that has a unique 18th century windmill.  In addition, this town also has a church named Puig d'en Valls Church that has a fusion of modern and traditional Ibizan architecture.  Placa del Parc also called Plaza del Parque is a town square that offers many interesting shopping stores, restaurants, and bars.  This square also has a “walk of fame” honoring local celebrities and it also hosts a small crafts market in summers.  Casino De Ibiza is a casino that has a unique decor and it also offers many fun games including Black Jack and American Roulette, along with many slot machines.  Ibiza Castle also called Castell d’Eivissa is a fortification that was built in the 9th century by local Muslim rulers.  While visitors are prohibited from the main portion of the fortification, the fortification’s premises also have other unique historic structures in addition, this fort also has a museum offering interesting historic exhibitions.  If you are looking for another attraction near Cala Espart,  Puig des Molins is a historic site that has a necropolis with the earliest tombs dating back 7th century BC.  In addition, this historic site also has a museum that exhibits artifacts found from local graves including jewellery, pottery, and figurines Puig des Molins also has ruins of a Medieval Islamic settlement and an old farmhouse. 

Restaurants

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Cala Espart within a 25-minute drive.  Amante is an upscale waterfront restaurant that offers amazing Mediterranean-style dishes for lunch and dinner including seafood, Galician veal chop, Iberian ham, and pasta this restaurant also hosts movie screenings.  HAMBRE has a rosy ambiance and it offers delicious gourmet dishes with Mediterranean and regional culinary influences this restaurant has also been praised by many publications including Tapas magazine and the British newspaper Financial Times.  Zitya has a beautiful decor and it also offers amazing Aegean Cuisine with innovative culinary influences including souvlakis, braised lamb, seafood, dolmadakia, kabab, and tzatziki, along with a variety of excellent cocktails.  El Olivo Mio is a restaurant that has a vibrant decor and it serves many excellent Mediterranean-inspired dishes including pasta, seafood, risotto, roast lamb, and Iberic ham.  If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near Cala Espart, Cafe Montesol offers many amazing dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner including tapas-style dishes, seafood, ham croquettes, salads, steaks, toast, and patatas bravas.
