Overview
Located near the resort village of Es Canar on the island of Ibiza, Cala Nova – also known as Cala Nova Beach – is a 250-meter-long curve-shaped southeast-facing beach with light brown sand and a few rocky portions. Cala Nova is sometimes considered a nude beach, particularly in the early morning.

In addition, Cala Nova is also ideal for surfers because the water here sometimes offers fun surfing waves, particularly during winters. If you are planning to swim, snorkel, scuba dive, kayak, or canoe near Cala Nova, we recommend being careful because the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves. In addition, submerged rocks near the beach can also cause injuries.

Parking
Getting to Cala Nova is easy – from the village of Es Canar, you need to drive along Avenida Cala Nova and then turn left towards Carrer de Ses Pedrisses. From Carrer de Ses Pedrisses, you need to turn right towards an unnamed paved road – this unnamed paved road will lead you to Cala Nova.
There are multiple free street parking spaces near Cala Nova and you can easily walk to the beach through a dirt track after parking here.

There is a hill near the northern end of Cala Nova that offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Eastern Ibiza shoreline.

Torre De Campanitx– also known as Torre d'en Valls – is a historic tower that was built in 1763 to prevent attacks by Turkish pirates. The area around this tower also offers amazing views of the eastern Ibiza shoreline and the Mediterranean Sea. Hippy Market Punta Arabi is a popular hippy market that is open on Wednesdays and it offers many fun shopping stores selling handicrafts and novelties. Museo Etnográfico de Ibiza displays many interesting artifacts and objects associated with local Ibizan culture. Punta Grossa Lighthouse is a derelict lighthouse that was built in 1867. You can explore the ruins of this lighthouse and the area around this lighthouse also offers amazing views of the Ibizan coastline.
