Stuart Beach

Located in the city of Stuart, Stuart Beach is a small, narrow, and gorgeous beach that is situated at the southern end of Hutchinson Island. Stuart Beach has a reef system that is home to more than 500 marine creatures making it a popular destination for swimming, diving, and snorkeling. Stuart Beach is backed by the Elliott Museum and the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center and is filled with locals and families, especially because of its small waves and low tides. 

Stuart Beach welcomes dogs and offers many amenities including lifeguards, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, basketball courts, volleyball courts, playgrounds, and boat ramps. If you are looking for additional amenities, you can walk four minutes west to two surf shops named Ohana Surf Shop and Island Trader Surf Shop that provides water sports equipment rentals. 

There are many fun activities at Stuart Beach including swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, paddleboarding, and fishing. 

Getting to Stuart Beach is very easy – after you get off of SE Ocean Boulevard, drive southeast on Stuart Beach Entry and Driveway to reach the beach’s free parking lot that is within walking distance to the beach.

If you are looking for attractions near Stuart Beach, you can drive two minutes to Elliott Museum, a local history museum that is home to many exhibitions including maritime, baseball, classic wooden boats, over 90 cars and trucks, motorboats, an airplane, – and one of the largest collections of historic Ford Model A and Model AA vehicles. Stuart Heritage Museum was built in 1901 by George W. Parks and features over 10,000 artifacts about the history of Stuart from 1880s to 1950s. The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast is a family-friendly tourist attraction that features creative hands-on displays about nature, health, history, and recycling. Another great attraction near Stuart Beach is Sailfish Splash Waterpark – it is an awesome amusement park featuring a lazy river, wave pool, zip line, tree top drop, white knuckle river, and many waterslides.

If you get hungry, you can drive five minutes to many restaurants near Stuart Beach. The vegetarian-friendly restaurant King Neptune serves seafood options including surf ‘n’ turf, oysters, fish tacos, groupers, and shrimps. Namaste Grill is a stylish-contemporary restaurant that offers Indian and Nepalese meals, wine, and beer. Another good restaurant near Stuart Beach is Lures Riverfront Restaurant – it's a small local with an outside bar area and picnic tables, and has a good menu that includes Philly cheesesteaks, mahi-mahi sandwiches, and Florida-styled seafood.
