Floridana Beach(Floridana)

Located to the south of the town of Melbourne, Floridana Beach is a large white-sand beach in Brevard County. This beach is present within a residential community which is also named Floridana Beach. Many kinds of coastal flora are present near Floridana Beach including grasses and palm trees. 

Floridana Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan accordingly. 

Floridana Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, fishing, swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing, jet-skiing, surf-skiing, water-skiing, boating, parasailing, and wakeboarding. If you are planning to enter the water near Floridana Beach, we recommend being careful as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents. Depending on the time of the year, you can view many kinds of animals in the water near this beach including sea turtles and dolphins. Sea turtles also use this beach as a nesting spot between April and September. Floridana Beach is a great fishing spot and you can catch many kinds of fish in the water near this beach. However, if you are planning to fish in the water near Floridana Beach, we recommend ensuring compliance with the local fishing regulations. This beach is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience as this beach sees fewer visitors than other nearby Brevard County beaches.

Getting to Floridana Beach is easy - the beach is present near 6635 South Highway A1A. A free parking lot is also present near the beach. However, it is important to note that the accessway to the beach present at 6635 South Highway A1A is only open to local residents, and non-residents can only use this accessway if they are paying guests of the Floridana Beach Motel.

There are many attractions near Floridana Beach. Sebastian Inlet State Park is a waterfront state park which offers many fun activities including hiking, biking, boating, surfing, camping, wildlife watching, paddleboarding, beachcombing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and stargazing - the state park’s beaches are immensely popular surfing spots and the water here offers amazing and large surfing waves. The park also has two museums - McLarty Treasure Museum and the Sebastian Fishing Museum which offer a unique insight into local history and culture. Spessard Holland South Beach Park is a six-and-a-half acre waterfront recreational park which offers many amenities including a boardwalk, pavilions, seasonal lifeguards, restrooms, showers, and drinking fountain. This popular park also has a beach and it offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming, surfing, fishing, and picnicking. If you are looking for another attraction near Floridana Beach, Juan Ponce de Leon Landing is a 25.57-acre recreational park which commemorates the 1513 voyage of Spanish explorer  Juan Ponce de León and his landing in the area around the town of Melbourne Beach - the park has a statue of Ponce de León, along with a historical marker. The park also has many amenities including restrooms, pavilions, picnic areas, showers, and it also has a beach.
