Overview

Located in the town of Melbourne Beach, Sebastian Inlet State Park is a state park that has an unnamed white sand beach. There are two museums near this park which are called the McLarty Treasure Museum and Sebastian Fishing Museum. 

Amenities

A portion of the beach in Sebastian Inlet State Park has lifeguards from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, and the park has many other amenities including boat ramps, a camping site, and a picnic pavilion. Dogs are not allowed in the park. 

Activities

Sebastian Inlet State Park offers many fun activities including swimming, scuba diving, snorkelling, beachcombing, wildlife watching, and fishing. The beach in Sebastian Inlet State Park also hosts many popular local surfing events. The state park is popular among anglers due to the presence of snook, redfish, bluefish, and Spanish mackerel in the water near it.

Getting to the Sebastian Inlet State Park is easy - it is located at 9700 South Highway A1A. The beach is easily accessible from the paid parking lot near the park entrance.

There are many attractions near Sebastian Inlet State Park. Old Town Hall History Center is a museum that promotes research and public education through its collection. This history center was established in 1908 as a government office. The museum exhibits the artifacts related to the history of the local areas, including Spanish shipwrecks and the development of Melbourne Beach. Ryckman Park is a waterfront public park that contains a large playground, a basketball court, a pier named Melbourne Beach Pier, a town hall complex, a community center, and restroom facilities. Spessard Holland North Beach Park is a waterfront community park and fishing site that offers many amenities including dune crossovers, picnic shelters, BBQ grills, restrooms, drinking fountains, benches, four outdoor showers, and two indoor showers. If you are looking for another attraction near Sebastian Inlet State Park, Coconut Point Park is a community park that offers many fun activities including surfing, swimming, beachcombing, and fishing. The park is also known to be a sea turtle nesting site. In addition, you can spot various birds including black-bellied Plover, red knots, gannet, and red-throated loons.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Sebastian Inlet State Park. Djon's Steak And Lobster House is an upscale restaurant that offers outdoor seating options and is known for serving great American cuisine and seafood including fried calamari, escargot, grilled shrimp, and filet mignon. Ocean 302 has an amazing ambiance and offers big wave calamari, salmon, grilled chicken breast, and stacked Caprese. Sand on the Beach serves amazing coconut shrimp, crispy calamari, tuna poke rice bowl, and shrimp & grits. If you are looking for another delicious and affordable restaurant near Sebastian Inlet State Park, Sunnyside café offers outdoor seating options and serves American dishes for breakfast.
