Located at the southern end of the city of Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County, Surfside Park has a mile-long beach with beige sand with nearby beach grass, pine trees, and palm trees. Surfside Park is part of the Kimberly Bergalis Memorial Park. 

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Surfside Park.  Pietro’s On the River is an upscale seaside restaurant that offers amazing American and European cuisine including seafood, soups, salads, pasta, and desserts.  12A Buoy serves incredible seafood, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, pasta, and desserts.  If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near Surfside Park, the modestly priced Dave’s Dinner serves amazing breakfast and lunch menus including eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, French toast, waffles, muffins, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and hot dogs.

If you are looking for a hotel near Surfside Park, there are many great nearby options.  If you are looking for an upscale hotel, the 4-Star Sheraton PGA Vacation Resort, Port St. Lucie is 30 minutes away by car and offers many amenities including an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a playground, and a restaurant.  A more affordable hotel is the 3-Star SpringHill Suites by Marriott Port St. Lucie which offers several amenities including a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and a restaurant.  As another moderately priced option, the 3-Star Dockside Inn & Resort offers many amenities including a fitness center, two outdoor pools, a hot tub, a whirlpool spa, a restaurant, and complimentary breakfast.  If you are looking for another good and affordable hotel near Surfside Park, the modestly priced 2-Star Hutchinson Island Plaza Hotel & Suites is a waterfront hotel that offers many amenities including an outdoor pool, a hot tub, an exercise room, and a complimentary breakfast.

Surfside Park has many amenities including lifeguards, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, a barbeque grill area on the southside, and pavilions.  Dogs are welcome on the beach if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Surfside Park offers many activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, hiking, paddle boarding, sailing, picnicking, and swimming.  In addition, this beach is ideal for windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather.  If you are planning to go in the water near the beach, we recommend being careful as the water here is known to have rip currents.

Getting to Surfside Park is easy - the beach’s free parking lot is situated at 1400 South Ocean Drive (which is a part of Florida State Highway A1A). Once you park, you will need to walk a few minutes south to the beach. It is important to note that beach access is tucked away nearby Kimberley Bergalis Beach.

There are many attractions near Surfside Park.  McKee Botanical Garden is home to many kinds of plants including dendrobiums, plumerias, orchids, magnolias, hibiscus, and it also has a children’s garden.  McKee Botanical Garden also hosts many interesting events throughout the year including car shows and antique shows.  Manatee Observation and Education Center is a waterfront nature center that offers an observation bridge and a tower where you can watch wild manatees.  In addition, visitors can explore interesting indoor exhibits including a freshwater tank, a saltwater tank, a seahorse tank, a coral reef tank, a tide pool touch tank, and a Striped Mud Turtle tank, which provide an insight into the local biodiversity.   If you are looking for another attraction near Surfside Park, Elliott Museum offers interesting historical, scientific, and artistic exhibitions.  This museum also has a gallery displaying baseball-related memorabilia.  In addition, the museum has vintage wooden boats, bicycles, motorcycles, and over 90 antique cars and trucks.
