There are many attractions near South Causeway Park Beach. The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is a museum entirely devoted to the history of the United States Navy SEALs and its forerunners. The museum is built on the training ground of Naval Combat Demolition Units (NCDU) and Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT). The museum encourages public education by allowing visitors to learn about the Navy SEALs' history via interactive exhibits while also paying tribute to the fallen warriors. Heathcote Botanical Gardens is a subtropical botanical garden that features a Japanese Garden, a reflection garden, a herb garden, a rainforest display, a native plants garden, and a palm & cycad walk, among other specialized gardens. Manatee Observation and Education Center is a not-for-profit waterfront environmental education and wildlife viewing center whose goal is to increase awareness of the Treasure Coast's endangered ecosystems and inhabitants. As a result of warm water effluent from the long-decommissioned Henry B. King Power Plant which was located nearby, the site has historically been a gathering spot for Florida manatees. If you are looking for another attraction near South Causeway Park Beach, St. Lucie County Aquarium is a public aquarium that has the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit - a 3000-gallon replica of a coral reef ecosystem and many other exhibits. During daily feeding frenzy tours, visitors may witness the animals in the ecosystems being fed by exhibit workers.
