Blind Pass Beach

Located in the town of Englewood, Blind Pass Beach is a very long and wide beach situated north of Chadwick Park near the southern end of the Manasota Key neighborhood. Spread across 12 acres, Chadwick Park is an awesome family-friendly spot with playgrounds and picnic shelters. Also known as Middle Beach, Blind Pass Beach has beautiful white sand – and is backed by tall palm trees and a dune system filled with coastal vegetation.  Blind Pass Beach is a well-known destination for swimming, fishing, picnicking, and sunbathing.  

Blind Pass Beach offers many amenities including restrooms, showers, water stations, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, a 900-feet-long boardwalk with three pavilions, a basketball court, a fishing pier, and four small shelters with picnic tables and barbecues.

Getting to Blind Pass Beach is very easy – the beach’s free parking lot is situated at 6725 Manasota Key Road and is within walking distance to the beach.

If you are looking for attractions near Blind Pass Beach, you can drive 30 minutes to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium which is home to sea creatures including jellyfish, great white sharks, captive killer whales, rockfishes, African penguins, and the Pacific Sea nettles. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens are spread across 15 acres and feature preserved collections of more than 20,000 plants including orchids, bromeliads, banyans, bamboo, wildflowers, a butterfly garden, a koi pond, and an edible garden. The historical Sarasota Opera House has been the performance stage for many world-renowned artists including Elvis Presley, Will Rogers, Charlton Heston, and Dorothy Lamour. Another great attraction near Blind Pass Beach is St. Armands Circle which is well-regarded for its shopping centers, boutiques, ancient shops, and restaurants.
