Located on the northern part of the city of Solana Beach, Tide Beach Park is situated below a blufftop residential within the county of San Diego. The beach is narrow and has light brown sand and a rocky reef near its shoreline, and portions of the bluffside near the beach are fixed with embankments to prevent erosion.
Amenities
Tide Park Beach has lifeguards between 10 am to 6 pm during summer months. The beach also has showers, but it does not have any other amenities, so prepare accordingly.
Activities
Tide Beach Park offers many fun activities including fishing, beachcombing, sunbathing, surfing, bodysurfing, boogie boarding, wildlife watching, kite surfing, windsurfing, boating, jet-skiing, parasailing, surf-skiing, snorkelling, diving, paddle boarding, skim boarding, kayaking, tidepooling, and canoeing. If you are planning to go in the water near Tide Park Beach, we recommend being careful as the water here has dangerous rip currents. Nevertheless, the water near the beach is also home to a variety of animals including seals, sea lions, dolphins, and migrating grey whales (between December and April). Tide Beach Park is a great snorkelling spot - you can explore the reef present near the beach and view a large array of fish present here. During low tide, the reef near the beach has some excellent tidepools comprising of interesting creatures including crabs, sea anemones, and sea urchins. The reef near the beach, known as Seaside or Tabletops Reef,also offers some excellent surfing waves. Another activity to try in Tide Beach Park is fishing - popular catches here include corbina, salto. and halibut.

Getting to Tide Beach Park is easy- access stairs to the beach are located near 302 Solana Vista Drive, where street parking is also available.
Attractions
There are many attractions near Tide Beach Park. North Coast Repertory Theater frequently hosts innovative and excellent plays and also organizes youth education and community outreach programmes. San Dieguito County Park is a grassy park spread over 125 acres which offers a children’s playground, basketball courts, a gazebo, and hiking trails. If you are looking for another fun attraction near Tide Beach Park, Cedros Avenue Design District offers a variety of branded and designer shopping stores, restaurants, yoga and pilates studios, and art galleries.
Restaurants
If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Tide Beach Park. Pamplemousse Grille is an upscale restaurant offering excellent steaks and seafood dishes. A more affordable restaurant is Bangkok Bay Thai Restaurant which offers excellent Thai dishes including drunken noodles, Thai curries, and pad Thai. In addition, the restaurant was also awarded Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice award in 2020. If you’re looking for a modestly priced restaurant near Tide Beach Park, Pizza Port offers great pizzas and salads.
