Located near the San Clemente Pier, Linda Lane is the name of a park providing beach access to a part of the San Clemente City Beach area. The park and the beach are named after Linda Lane as they are located at its southern end. The beach area here is narrow. There is a railroad adjacent to the beach area running parallel along the length of the beach. The San Clemente Pedestrian Beach Trail is a walking and biking trail adjacent to the beach that connects this beach to other beaches along the other San Clemente beaches. The park near the beach area is a grassy area and a number of nautical-themed swings. While Linda Lane Access Point beach area has a lifeguard tower, lifeguard deployment here is often seasonal starting on June 23rdand running through Labor Day weekend, or during high visitation periods.

The beach and the adjoining park offer a number of amenities including drinking fountains, walking paths, lifeguards, restrooms, and picnic areas, and also offer access to people with disabilities.

The beach and the nearby park offer many fun activities including surfing, kitesurfing, boogie boarding, beach walking, sunbathing, volleyball, paddleboarding, snorkeling, biking, swimming, biking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, beachcombing, and wildlife watching. The beach area is very narrow and sand here rarely stays dry during high tide. If you are looking for a quiet sunbathing session, we recommend you review a tide chart before visiting. The waters around the beach have a clear sandy bottom, which makes it ideal for snorkeling and bodysurfing. The water near the beach area is also ideal for a surfing or bodysurfing session as the waves here are mild yet consistent. A part of the water in the beach area during times of crowded visitation is often allotted separately for boogie boarders and swimmers to avoid crowds in the water and allow for a more relaxed surfing experience. However, rip currents are common here, so be careful if you’re swimming. You can also comb the beach area for shells during low tide. The southern part of the beach area near Corto Lane Beach access has a volleyball net. You can spot a number of animals in the waters near the beach including seals, sea-lion and migrating whales.

The beach area is easily accessible - the beach entrance is located near 380 Linda Lane. There is a metered parking lot near the beach and the parking area which operates between 10 am - 5 pm. However, we recommend visiting early as these lots often fill up quickly in the summer months. From the parking lot, you can access the beach through a tunnel passing beneath the railroad.

The park near the beach area is a great place for families as it has a variety of marine-themed rides for kids. The San Clemente Pedestrian Beach Trail, which is also known as San Clemente Coastal Trail, can be used for biking. You can also take it to visit other beaches in the city of San Clemente including San Clemente State Beach which offers activities such as hiking and fishing, the famous surfing spot T-Street Beach, and Lost Winds Beach which has volleyball nets and the iconic San Clemente Pier which gives out a lovely view of the Pacific Ocean. If you like to shop, Villa Del Mar offers a number of designer and branded stores for shopping. There is also a farmer’s market held at Avenida Del Mar between 9 am-1 pm where you can sample Orange County’s freshest produce and finest cheeses, jams, baked goods, and flowers.

If you're looking for a restaurant, La Galette Creperie is a high-end French restaurant that serves delicious breakfast and lunch crepes and has a vibrant dinner menu with a variety of refreshing cocktails. The modestly priced and family-friendly Surfin’ Chicken Grill is another option offering pleasant outdoor dining and a variety of tacos, burritos, and grilled chicken dishes. Another great dining option is Hapa J’s, which is a restaurant and bar with the quintessential laid-back Hawaiian ambiance that offers classic Hawaiian dishes including kalua pork and lomilomi salmon served along with a variety of exotic cocktails.
