There are ocean-view cottages in addition to an RV park where visitors can stay and enjoy views of the beach. The western side of the resort has a large marina where you’ll find a collection of luxury yachts. This resort is also known for its music festivals, with artists such as Robin Schulz, Marshmallow, and G-Eazy making the lineup. For those looking to experience the Southern California beach scene in a resort-like environment, Newport Dunes has plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.
Activities
By California law, this horseshoe-shaped beach is public, but it is accessible only through the hotel. There is a section of the beach with large inflatables, which serves as a small waterpark for children. The resort also rents out kayaks, sailboats, LED stand-up paddleboards, and electric boats for visitors. If you want to swim, the waters are very calm at this beach and it is relatively shallow near the shore. Visitors have reported numerous dolphin sightings along the back bay, so you may be able to spot one if you are lucky. This beach has a bathroom located nearby and also features a playground in the sand. Whether you are here for a day trip or a weeklong vacation, Newport Dunes offers countless activities for visitors of all ages.

If you get hungry, take a 14-minute drive to North Italia, where you can enjoy exquisite handmade pasta or pizzas. Another great option is Hopdoddy Burger Bar, a high-end sports bar that has an extensive New American menu and a long list of draft beers. We also like True Food Kitchen, a casual eco-chic chain that serves only organic and health-conscious dishes.
