Located in North Laguna Beach between Shaw’s Cove and Diver’s Cove, Boat Canyon Beach, otherwise referred to as Fisherman’s Cove, is a small south-facing beach that is perfect for a relaxing beach day. Unlike more popular seaside spots in Laguna, Boat Canyon Beach is private, peaceful, and stress-free.
Amenities
Amenities include tide pools, caves, and lifeguards. There are no facilities, but Heisler Park is just a block away and has restrooms and showers.

If you are looking for tranquility, the bluffs atop Boat Canyon Beach make for a perfect picnic setting. At the beach, you will find mellow waves, providing an exceptional, protected launch spot for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. For adventure seekers, you can venture about 100 feet from shore to a large flat rock referred to as Splash Rock, which is popular with scuba divers and snorkelers. If you are feeling even more adventurous, there are compact caves and tide pools at the south side of the beach to explore and observe amazing marine life.
Parking
To find the beach, drive to the north end of Heisler Park where you will see the beach entrance titled “Fisherman’s Cove.” There is limited metered parking along Cliff Drive nearby the beach entrance so be sure to plan ahead.
