Hidden Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, hiking, wildlife watching, beachcombing, and tide-pooling. The water near this beach is unsafe for recreational aquatic activities including swimming and surfing as the water here is known to have strong currents, dangerous waves, and cold temperatures. Depending on the time of the year, you can see many animals in the water near Hidden Beach including seals, sea lions, and migrating gray whales. During low tide, you can also explore tidepools present around the beach which are home to many animals including sea urchins and sea stars. This beach is ideal for those looking for a quiet beach experience as this beach sees very few visitors due to its remote location. There is a picturesque sea stack near this beach that offers some incredible Instagram-worthy photos.

There are three ways to access Hidden Beach - the shortest is a half-mile long access trail to Hidden Beach that starts directly across the road from the northern parking lot of Trees of Mystery theme park (which is situated near 15500 United States Highway 101.) The second access trail to Hidden Beach starts near a beach known as Lagoon Creek Beach which is located along United States Highway 101. This trail is known as the Yurok Loop Trail and is one mile long. The third access trail to this beach is three miles long and starts from the Klamath River Overlook, which is easily accessible from United States Highway 101 via Requa Road and Patrick J. Murphy Memorial Drive. Free parking lots are available near all of these access trails. We recommend visiting this beach wearing appropriate footwear as it has a lot of driftwood.

There are many attractions near Hidden Beach. Trees of Mystery is a theme park that has interesting hiking trails, unique tree formations, and a sky tram that offers pleasant views of the redwood forests of northern California. In addition, this theme park has a 49-foot tall statue of the legendary folk hero Paul Bunyan and his partner Babe the Blue Ox. This theme park also has an interesting museum that showcases Native American artifacts and handicrafts. The Klamath River Overlook offers magnificent views of the Klamath River mouth, the Pacific Ocean, and the northern California shoreline. This overlook also has picnic tables and interesting interpretive displays on the regional history and biodiversity. In addition, this overlook is also a great wildlife watching spot. If you are looking for another attraction near Hidden Beach, the Tour Thru tree (also known as Tour-Thru tree) is a giant redwood tree with a large tunnel running through it. This tree is a popular local attraction and many cars drive through the tunnel within this tree every year. In addition, the area around this tree has picnic tables, restrooms, a gift shop, and is also known to be home to many emu birds.
