While Klamath Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, the area near the beach has restrooms.

Klamath Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, surfing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and boating. If you are planning to go into the Pacific Ocean near Klamath Beach, we recommend being careful as the water here is known to have dangerous waves, strong currents, and cold temperatures. In addition, the presence of sharks has also been reported in the water here. Despite the rough water conditions, many surfers surf in the water near Klamath Beach as it is known to offer thrilling and fun surfing waves. The Klamath River behind the beach has calm water which is ideal for beginner swimmers, kayakers, canoers, and paddle boarders. Depending on the time of the year, you can see many kinds of animals in the ocean water near Klamath Beach including seals, sea lions, and migrating gray whales. If you like fishing, you can also catch many kinds of fish in the Klamath River near the beach. However, if you are planning to fish here, make sure that you follow the local fishing regulations. A popular activity near Klamath Beach is taking a boat tour along the Klamath River and getting an interesting insight into the rich flora and fauna around its banks. Klamath Jet Boat Tours offers exciting and memorable jet boat tours on the Klamath River which offer fantastic views of the Klamath River and the unique biodiversity around it.

Getting to Klamath Beach is easy- from United States Highway 101, you need to turn towards Klamath Beach Road via Exit - 768 (also known as the Klamath Beach Road Exit) which is just south of the town of Klamath. From this exit, you need to continue on Klamath Beach Road and stop just before this road turns south and merges into Coastal Drive. There is an access trail for Klamath Beach present near this spot, along with a free parking lot. The access trail passes through a local Native American ceremonial site known as the Yurok Ceremonial Grounds and finally leads to Klamath Beach. We recommend visiting this beach during low tide as during high tide the access trail to the beach can be flooded and you might need to wade across the water to get to Klamath Beach. We recommend visiting this beach wearing appropriate footwear as this beach is known to have lots of driftwood.

There are many attractions near Klamath Beach. Yurok Country Visitor Center has interesting exhibits on the history and culture of the Native American Yurok people. The Klamath River Overlook offers magnificent views of the Klamath River mouth, the Pacific Ocean, and the northern California shoreline. This overlook also has picnic tables and interesting interpretive displays on the regional history and biodiversity. In addition, this overlook is also a great wildlife watching spot. If you are looking for another attraction near Klamath Beach, Klamath River Radar Station (also known as Radar Station B-71) is an important historical landmark. Klamath River Radar Station was an early warning radar station used by the United States Armed Forces during World War Two. This station was actually disguised to look like an ordinary farmhouse to avoid detection by the enemy. It is currently a part of the United States National Register of Historic Places.
