Overview
Located in the northern part of the island of Formentera, Calo de S’oli – also called Caló de S'olí Beach – is a curve-shaped one-kilometer-long rock-and-sand beach with light white-colored sand. This beach is part of a natural park named Ses Salines d’Eivissa i Formentera Natural Park.
This beach should not be confused with another nearby Spanish beach which has the same name Calo de S'Oli and is located on the nearby island of Ibiza.

Calo de S’oli offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming, jet-skiing, surf-skiing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, snorkeling, wakeboarding, parasailing, water-skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.
This beach is ideal for slightly less-experienced swimmers because the water here usually has gentle waves. If you are planning to swim, kayak, or snorkel here, we recommend being careful because the water here can have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves. This beach is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience because it sees fewer visitors as compared to other nearby beaches.

Parking
Getting to Calo de S’oli is easy – from the port of La Savina, you must drive to a local cultural center named Can Marroig. There are street signs around La Savina that will help you reach Can Marroig. Once you arrive, you can park at the cultural center’s free dirt parking lot. Once you park here, you can easily walk to the beach through walking trails – there are interpretive signs around the beach that offer directions to the beach.

There are many attractions near Calo de S’oli. Can Marroig is an old farmhouse that has exciting exhibits on agriculture, local history, ecology, and biodiversity – the area around this house offers many interesting things to explore by foot or by bike including rocky coastal areas, woodlands, marine areas, saltwater ponds, and an 18th-century tower named Torre de La Gavina. Cap de Barbaria is a promontory that offers a fun oceanfront hiking experience – it also provides amazing views of the southern Formentera shoreline and the Mediterranean Sea, especially at sunset. In addition, this promontory also has a famous lighthouse named Faro del Cabo de Barbaria. S’Estany des Peix is a lagoon that offers calm and shallow water – the lagoon’s calm water conditions make it ideal for practicing watersports including windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, canoeing, and surf-skiing. The Ethnographic Museum of Formentera – also called Museu d'Etnografia de Formentera – is a museum that offers many interesting exhibitions on the history, culture, and lifestyle of the local residents here.
