Located in Hernando County, Linda Pedersen Park - also known as Linda Pedersen Preserve and previously known as Hernando Beach Park - is a 65-acre recreational park that has an unnamed white sand beach. This beach is also known as Linda Pedersen Park Beach. Linda Pedersen Park is situated along the shores of Jenkins Creek. The beach in Linda Pedersen Park is separated from the water by a fence. Linda Pedersen Park is named after a local environmental activist named Linda Pedersen, who was killed in an accident in 2000. 

Linda Pedersen Park does not have lifeguards. However, it has many other amenities including picnic areas, tables, a kayak/canoe launch, a fishing pier, restrooms, a playground, showers, and picnic areas.

There are many attractions near Linda Pedersen Park. The Weekiwachee Preserve protects a wide variety of habitats including hardwood hammock forests and wetlands. The preserve also has portions of the Weeki Wachee River and the Mud River, hardwood swamps, and sandhills covered in pine trees. The preserve also has biking and hiking trails and it also offers a fun kayaking, canoeing, and boating experience. Rogers Park is a three-acre park that is present along the banks of the Weeki Wachee River - this park has many amenities including a boat ramp, canoe/kayak launch, concession stands, picnic shelters, playgrounds, restrooms, showers, volleyball court, barbecue areas, and an observation area. This park also has a beach and it is also an amazing fishing spot. In addition, you can also view manatees here. If you are looking for another attraction near Linda Pedersen Park, Buccaneer Bay is an amusement park that is a part of the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. The park is present along the banks of the Weeki Wachee Springs and it has two water slides, a beach, and a naturally-formed lazy river. The amusement park offers many fun activities including snorkeling, swimming, inner tubing, and sunbathing. In addition, it also has a water play area for children named Lil’ Mates Caribbean Cove. In addition, you can occasionally see many kinds of animals in this amusement park including manatees, sea turtles, and otters.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Linda Pedersen Park. The Nouvelle Cuisine is a 20-minute drive away by car. This upscale restaurant offers excellent French-Belgian dishes for lunch and dinner including Coquille St. Jacques and Mussels Provencale. Zig Zag Scallop has an airy ambiance and it offers an amazing waterfront dining experience. In addition, the restaurant also offers excellent and locally caught seafood, along with amazing fries, burgers, steaks, and salads. The restaurant also offers live music performances. If you are looking for another restaurant near Linda Pedersen Park, Thousand Island Cafe serves excellent dishes for breakfast and lunch including sandwiches, burgers, and salads.
