Anclote River Park

Located along the Pasco County shoreline, Anclote River Park is a 31-acre recreational park which has an unnamed white-sand beach. This beach is also known as Anclote River Park Beach. Trees are also present around the beach in Anclote River Park. 

Anclote River Park has many amenities including lifeguards (available on a seasonal basis), canoe/kayak launching areas, volleyball courts, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, a boat ramp, a playground, and restrooms.

There are many attractions near Anclote River Park. Tarpon Springs Aquarium and Animal Sanctuary is home to many kinds of interesting animals including alligators, snakes, turtles, tortoises, sharks, rays, and crabs. In addition, the animal sanctuary also organizes interesting interactive animal shows and demonstrations. Safford House Museum is set in a renovated 1883 Victorian-style mansion. The mansion in which the museum is set is a part of the United States National Register of Historic Places and it was once owned by Anson P.K. Safford, who was a territorial governor of Arizona. This museum offers an interesting insight into the daily life of late 19th-century Floridian high society. If you are looking for another attraction near Anclote River Park, The Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum has two wings - the History Wings has exhibits on the story of Tarpon Springs’ Women’s Club, local Native American artifacts, and exhibitions highlighting the immense cultural and social contribution of the Greek diaspora of Tarpon Springs. The museum’s other wing - known as the Ecology Wing - has replicas of murals by local artist Christopher Still. These murals highlight Florida’s story from the Pre-Columbian era to the present day.
