Overview
Located in the community of Hudson, SunWest Park is a recreational park that has a large white-sand beach. This beach is also known as SunWest Park Beach. This beach is situated along the banks of a 70-acre spring-fed lake. SunWest Park was formerly the site of a limestone mine named SunWest Mines. An adventure park named The Lift Adventure Park is also present in SunWest Park.

SunWest Park does not have lifeguards. However, it has many other public amenities including restrooms, picnic areas, volleyball courts, and concession stands. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in SunWest Park.

There are many attractions near SunWest Park. Linda Pedersen Park is a 20-minute drive away. This 135-acre recreational park offers many amenities including picnic tables, grills, pavilions, showers, restrooms, kayak and canoe launch areas, playgrounds, and a fishing pier. The park has a 40-feet tall observation tower which offers amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico and the marshlands around the park. The Weeki Wachee Preserve protects a wide variety of habitats including hardwood hammock forests and wetlands. The preserve also has portions of the Weeki Wachee River and the Mud River, hardwood swamps, and sandhills covered in pine trees. The preserve also has biking and hiking trails and it also offers a fun kayaking, canoeing, and boating experience. This preserve is primarily known for being home to Florida black bears.
