Located in the residential community of Pelican Bay, North Beach – also called Pelican Bay Beach North and Pelican Bay North Beach – is a beach with white sand.
Amenities
Although North Beach does not have lifeguards, the beach and the area around it have many other amenities for local residents and their guests including restrooms, showers, and loaner services for beach equipment including lounge chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, and cabanas.
Dogs are not allowed in North Beach.
Activities
North Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, surf skiing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, parasailing, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and boating.
North Beach is ideal for slightly less-experienced swimmers, kayakers, canoers, paddleboarders, and surf skiers because the water here usually has manageable waves.
If you are planning to swim, kayak, canoe, or paddleboard near North Beach, we recommend being careful because the water here can have unpredictable rip currents. In addition, the water here can also have a type of algal bloom named red tide that can cause irritation and damage in eyes and lungs.
If you are planning to fish near North Beach, please note that fishing is prohibited in crowded parts of the beach.
Another popular activity near North Beach is beachcombing and you can find many kinds of beautiful shells on this beach.

Parking
Getting to North Beach is extremely difficult for the general public because the main entrance to the beach is only accessible through a boardwalk – this boardwalk is located near 7117 Pelican Bay Boulevard and its access is restricted for residents of Pelican Bay and their guests.
If you want to visit North Beach as a member of the general public, you can walk to this beach from another separate nearby beach named Vanderbilt Beach – Vanderbilt Beach is located near 100 Vanderbilt Beach Road and it is easily accessible from United States Highway 41, which is also locally called the Tamiami Trail. There are a few metered street parking spaces near the beach, along with a nearby paid parking garage that costs 10 dollars for 24 hours. Once you reach Vanderbilt Beach, you can walk one-and-a-quarter miles south along the shoreline to reach North Beach.
If you are visiting North Beach, we recommend staying within the portion of the beach that is below the average high tide line to avoid any potential issues with local residents.
Please also note that local authorities have also currently closed off access to North Beach for all visitors.

Attractions
There are many attractions near North Beach. The Baker Museum is an art museum that focuses on exhibiting modern and contemporary artworks including modern Mexican artworks, many interesting sculptures, and American modernist artworks. Naples Zoo is 22 minutes away by car and has 70 species of animals including lions, primates, giraffes, parrots, zebras, alligators, and black bears, along with a botanical exhibition containing a large variety of plants. The zoo also has a gift shop. Clam Pass Park is a recreational park that has a beach known as Clam Pass Park Beach – this park has many amenities including restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and rental facilities for beach chairs and water sports equipment. If you like shopping, Waterside Shops is a shopping mall that offers many interesting shopping stores. If you are looking for another attraction near North Beach, Freedom Park is a 50-acre recreational park that is a 20 minutes away by car and has many amenities including fountains, picnic areas, restrooms, and pavilions – the park also has a lake that is an ideal site for fishing.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near North Beach. The Turtle Club is a waterfront restaurant that offers a relaxed ambiance and it serves delicious Coastal cuisine with modern culinary influences including seafood, steaks, salads, and soups. Another great upscale restaurant is Seasons 52 that offers many delicious seasonal locally-inspired dishes including seafood, poultry dishes, shrimp-and-grits, steaks, pork chops, and key lime pie. Brio Italian Grille offers delicious Italian-style dishes for brunch, lunch, and dinner including lamb chops, pasta, risotto, Italian-style seafood, and margherita flatbread. Don Tequila Mexican Restaurant has a vibrant and beautiful Mexican-inspired decor and it serves a variety of delicious Mexican-style dishes including tacos, quesadillas, burritos, Mexican-style seafood, and fajitas – this restaurant also serves delicious margaritas. If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near North Beach, Taco Ardiente serves many delicious Mexican dishes including burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and tostadas.
