Sandestin Beach

Located in the southern part of the city of Miramar Beach, Sandestin Beach is a mile-long beach with white sand and nearby sparse vegetation. 

The beach has several amenities including lifeguards, showers, and restrooms. Dogs are allowed on Sandestin Beach if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset. 

Sandestin Beach offers many fun activities including biking, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, sailing, paddle boarding, swimming, and snorkeling. If you are planning to go into the water near Sandestin Beach, we recommend being careful as the water here has rip currents. Depending on the time of the year, visitors can spot dolphins and sea turtles in the water near this beach. Sandestin Beach offers spectacular Instagram-worthy views of the Emerald Coast region. 

Getting to Sandestin Beach is easy – the access to the beach is present at 4009, South Sandestin Boulevard, and you can get this access from Emerald Coast Parkway West on United States Highway 98. A free parking lot is available near the access trail leading to the beach.

There are many attractions near Sandestin Beach. Jolee Island Nature Park is a family park that offers several amenities including serene nature trails, picnic shelters, and a playground that features swings, a pirate boat, playhouses, and treehouses. Historic Wesley House is a mansion that was built in 1895 and is famous for its Louis XVI furniture – it is surrounded by longleaf pine trees, cypress trees, moss-draped oak trees, vibrant flower gardens, and a lake. In addition, the visitors can enjoy a guided tour of Wesley’s house, along with picnicking, fishing, and hiking.
