Gulf Place Beach

Located in the Southern end of the city of Santa Rosa Beach, Gulf Place Beach is a mile-long beach with sugar white sand and nearby sparse vegetation. 

Although the beach does not have lifeguards, Gulf Place Beach has a few amenities including restrooms and showers. Dogs are not allowed on the Gulf Place Beach, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset. 

Gulf Place Beach offers many fun activities including fishing, sailing, parasailing, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle-boarding, canoeing, and swimming. If you are planning to go in the water near the beach, we recommend you to be careful as the water here is known to have rip currents. If you like shopping, a town named Gulf Place is present near Gulf Place Beach – this town has a few local boutiques, restaurants, an amphitheater (which features free live music and concerts), and eight local artists' galleries. This beach is ideal for visitors looking for a spot with a tranquil beach experience. This beach offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Emerald Coast region. 

Getting to Gulf Place Beach is easy - the access trail to the beach is present near 4447 West County Highway 30A. A free parking lot is available near the access trail and a few stairs lead to Gulf Place Beach.

There are many attractions near Gulf Place Beach. Historic Wesley House is a mansion that was built in 1895 and is famous for its Louis XVI furniture – it is surrounded by longleaf pine trees, cypress trees, moss-draped oak trees, vibrant flower gardens, and a lake. In addition, the visitors can enjoy a guided tour of Wesley’s house, along with picnicking, fishing, and hiking. Big Kahuna’s Water & Adventure Park is a park that features a lazy river, tall water slides, waves, rivers pools, a mini-golf course, a cyclone twister, a sky coaster, and numerous rides. If you are looking for another attraction near Gulf Place Beach, Jolee Island Nature Park is a family park that offers several amenities including serene nature trails, picnic shelters, and a playground that features swings, a pirate boat, playhouses, and treehouses.
