Overview

Located near the city of Melbourne, Paradise Beach is a large white-sand beach in Brevard County. A recreational park named Howard E. Futch Memorial Park is also present near this beach. A portion of Paradise Beach has lifeguards on a seasonal basis. The beach and the area around it have many other amenities including picnic areas, volleyball courts, restrooms, a playground, park benches, and showers. Getting to Paradise Beach is easy - multiple access points to the beach are located along Florida State Route A1A. However, the easiest way to access this beach is via the Howard E. Futch Memorial Park, which is present near 2301 Florida State Route A1A. In addition, a parking lot is also available near this park. You can easily walk to Paradise Beach from this recreational park.



Paradise Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beach combing, fishing, picnicking, wildlife watching, swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, skim boarding, kayaking, canoeing, bodyboarding, surf-skiing, jet-skiing, boating, and water skiing. If you are planning to enter the water near Paradise Beach, we recommend being careful as it is known to have rip currents. Depending on the time of the year, you can see many kinds of animals in the water here including dolphins and sea turtles. If you are planning to fish in the water near Paradise Beach, please make sure that you follow the local fishing regulations. This beach is ideal for those looking for a quiet beach experience as it is known to have fewer visitors than other Brevard County beaches.

Activities

There are many attractions near Paradise Beach. Liberty Bell Memorial Museum has two major sections named the Rotunda of American History and Freedom Hall - the Rotunda of American History has interesting exhibitions about the vibrant history of Florida and the United States. In addition, it also has a full-scale replica of the iconic Liberty Bell, which was created by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry (the creators of the original bell present in Philadelphia’s Independence Hall). The Freedom Hall has interesting memorabilia regarding the military history of the United States.  Crane Creek Promenade Manatee Observation Area offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of Crane Creek, particularly during sunsets. In addition, the observation area also has benches and it offers an amazing wildlife watching experience. If you are looking for another attraction near Paradise Beach, Riverview Park is a waterfront recreational park that has many amenities including a non-motorized boat launch, a pavilion, playgrounds, and barbecue areas. In addition, this park also hosts a farmers’ market on Saturdays.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Paradise Beach. Chart House is an upscale restaurant that offers amazing views of the Indian River Lagoon. In addition, the restaurant serves excellent gourmet dishes and is particularly known for its amazing seafood. Hemingway’s Tavern is 20 minutes away by car. This restaurant has a vintage ambiance and it pays homage to the life of the acclaimed writer Ernest Hemingway. The restaurant serves amazing soups, salads, seafood, burgers, and sandwiches, along with some of Hemingway’s favorite dishes. If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near Paradise Beach, That Little Restaurant serves excellent American dishes for breakfast and lunch. In addition, this restaurant is known for serving outstanding biscuits and gravy and country-fried steak.
