Indialantic Beach

Located in the town of Indialantic, Indialantic Beach is a half-mile-long and wide beach situated at the northern end of North Hutchinson Island.  Indialantic Beach is south of Robert P. Murkshe Memorial Park and is backed by the Indian River.  

Indialantic Beach offers a couple of amenities including restrooms, showers, and a pier. 

There are many fun activities at Indialantic Beach including swimming, surfing, fishing, hiking, birdwatching, wildlife watching, and picnicking. If you are looking for additional activities, you can drive 10 minutes south to Coconut Point, a popular surfing and sea turtle nesting site. 

Getting to Indialantic Beach is very easy – the beach’s paid parking lot is situated at 2 Wave Crest Avenue and is a two-minute walk away.

If you are looking for attractions near Indialantic Beach, there are many options within a 25-minute drive of the beach.  McKee Botanical Gardens is a non-profit subtropical botanical garden with collections of many plants including lantana, clivia, hibiscus, plumeria, and Victoria cruziana.  If you like hiking, the nature preserve Coconut Point Sanctuary has a one-mile-long hiking trail that overlooks the Indian River and is home to many rare and endangered plants and animals. Vero Beach Museum of Art of Art features a sculpture garden, museum store, art research library, art exhibitions, art performances, exhibition tours, events for children, cultural celebrations, workshops, and seminars.  Another great attraction near Indialantic Beach is Andretti Thrill Park, an amusement park with many rides including a pirate ship swing, train ride, merry-go-round swings, horse carousel, go-karts, bumper cars, and miniature golf courses. 

If you get hungry, you can drive 10 minutes to many restaurants near Indialantic Beach. The German restaurant Café Coconut Cove has a nice menu that includes Rouladen, Eintopf, Schnitzel, currywurst, brot, and brotchen. Robburritos serves numerous fast food options including burritos, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and nachos. Another good restaurant near Indialantic Beach is the pizza restaurant Oceanside Pizza – Melbourne Beach – Florida which features homemade pizza, breadsticks, and chicken wings.
