Overview
Located on the western end Destin Bridge on Okaloosa Island, Redneck Beach is a small beach with white sand and nearby sparse vegetation. The beach area is designated for public use by the United States Air Force, which controls all of the beach access on Okaloosa Island.
Amenities
Redneck Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan your visit accordingly. Dogs are not allowed on the beach and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.
Activities
Redneck Beach offers many fun activities including fishing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, sailing, and swimming. If you are planning to go into the water near Redneck Beach, the beach has shallow bay water. Despite its name which we believe is offensive, Redneck Beach is a family-friendly beach that sees fewer visitors than other nearby Destin beaches and is ideal for visitors looking for a quieter beach experience.
Parking
Getting to Redneck Beach is easy – the access trail to the beach is present near the Destin East Pass and you can easily get this access trail from the United States Highway 98. There is a free parking lot behind the Destin Welcome sign leading to the beach.
Attractions
There are many attractions near Redneck Beach. HarborWalk Village is a waterfront entertainment center that offers many fun activities including paddle-boarding, kayaking, jet-ski, parasailing, glass-bottom boat tours, pirate-ship excursions, and dolphin cruises. In addition, HarborWalk Village hosts live music shows, firework shows, and themed events - and also has a shopping arcade and many restaurants. The Track- Destin is a family amusement park with many fun activities including a safari-themed mini-golf course, 5 go-kart tracks, blaster boats, bumper cars, kids country rides, interactive arcade games, and many thrill rides (sky flyer, sky coaster, spinning coaster, hurricane 360). If you are looking for another attraction near Redneck Beach, Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park hosts many interesting activities including dolphin encounters and sea lions shows. In addition, this marine park is home to many kinds of local marine wildlife including sharks, rays, sea lions, and dolphins.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Redneck Beach. Louisiana Lagniappe is an upscale harborfront restaurant that serves amazing seafood, steaks, salads, burger, pasta, and desserts - and also serves gluten-free dishes. If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant near Redneck Beach, modestly priced Burrito del Sol serves incredible Mexican dishes including burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, salads, and steak.
