Overview
Located in Eglin Air Force Base, Bens Lake – also known as Ben’s Lake – is a lake that has an unnamed narrow white-sand beach area along its southern shore. This beach is also known as Bens Lake Beach. Bens Lake also has an inlet that connects it to the larger Choctawhatchee Bay. A marina named Ben’s Lake Marina is present near the beach. The beach along Bens Lake is present near the end of Boatner Road and it is easily accessible from the intersection between Florida State Road 397 and Florida State Road 189. However, access to this beach is currently forbidden by the in Eglin Air Force Base authorities.

Air Force Armament Museum is the only museum in the United States dedicated to displaying and preserving artifacts and memorabilia associated with Air Force armaments – the museum displays many kinds of armaments including a gun collection, bombs, missiles, and it also has over 29 aircraft. In addition, the museum also continuously screens a 32-minute educational film about the history of Eglin Air Force Base and its contribution in the development of armament. If you like golfing, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club is an 18-hole beautifully landscaped golfing facility which offers a fun and challenging golfing experience.
