Located to the north of Westport, Westport Beach - also known officially as Wages Creek Beach - is a scenic beach with light brown sand. This beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs. The beach is surrounded by a private campground named Westport Beach RV Park & Campground. Wages Creek flows through the beach into the Pacific Ocean.

While Westport Beach does not have lifeguards, the beach and the area around it have many other amenities for campers including picnic tables, a children’s playground, restrooms, showers, a horseshoe pit, and volleyball courts.

There are many attractions near Westport Beach within a 30-minute drive. Westport Headlands Park is a blufftop park that has picnic areas overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the North California shoreline. The park also has a stairway leading to a rocky cove below, which was earlier used as a ship landing. The park offers many activities including fishing, wildlife watching, and picnicking. The International Sea Glass Museum has one of the largest collections of beautiful sea glass pieces in the world. In addition, this museum also displays exquisite terracotta pieces and also has a gift store. If you are looking for another attraction near Westport Beach, Larry Spring Museum of Common Sense Physics is dedicated to the work of Larry Spring, who was a resident of the town of Fort Bragg who developed his own amateur understanding of scientific phenomena. Larry demonstrated his experiments using commonly available materials, and constructed many erratic and interesting apparatus, models, and inventions displaying a combination of outsider art and science.
