Kitesurfers and windsurfers often go into the water near the western end of Surfers Point due to the ideal water conditions there. However, if you are planning to go into the water near Surfers Point, we recommend being careful as the water here has dangerous rip currents. The water near the beach is home to a large array of animals - depending on the time of the year, you can see a variety of animals here including seals, sea lions, otters, dolphins, and migrating whales.
