Overview
Located near the community of Two Harbors, Fourth of July Cove is a deep east-facing cove. This cove has an unnamed beach with gravel and a sloping incline. The water around Fourth of July Cove is generally calm, which makes it an ideal place for mooring boats. The beach in Fourth of July Cove is surrounded by oceanfront cliffs on both sides. Some trees are also present around this beach.
Activities
There are many attractions near Fourth of July Cove within an hour-and-30-minutes drive. The Wrigley Marine Science Center (which is a part of the University of South California’s Wrigley Institute) is a research center and teaching facility which is generally only accessible to research scholars, faculty, and students from the University of South California, and other academic groups. However, from May 31 to August 30, the research center offers interesting tours of its premises for the general public on Saturday mornings. Visitors can view many interesting research exhibits, a touch tank, and a hyperbaric chamber. In addition, they can also attend an informative science lecture. Catalina Island Golf Course offers a challenging nine-hole golf course and fantastic Instagram-worthy ocean views. Parking
Getting to Fourth of July Cove is easy - this cove is situated within a 10-minute drive north of Two Harbors via West Banning House Road. However, Fourth of July Cove and the beach within it are currently leased by the Catalina Island Company to a private yacht club named the Fourth of July Yacht Club. As a result, the beach and the cove are only reserved for the members of this club and not for the general public.

If you are looking for another attraction near Fourth of July Cove, Avalon Underwater Park (also known as Casino Point Dive Park) is one of the first non-profit underwater parks in the United States. This park spans over two-and-a-half acres. This underwater is popular among scuba divers and snorkelers, who often enter the water here to explore its vibrant underwater landscape consisting of sand flats, kelp beds, rocky reefs, and shipwrecks. This park is also home to many fishes and marine organisms, including lobsters, abalone, moray eels, sheepshead, garibaldis, bat rays, halibut, octopus, and banded guitarfish. Some of the fish present here are friendly and will often approach divers without fear.
