Overview
Located in the town of Stinson Beach, Seadrift Beach is a one-and-a-half-mile-long and wide beach in front of a private gated community named Seadrift. Seadrift Beach is situated between Bolinas Lagoon and Bolinas Bay – and is a well-known birdwatching destination. Also known as Sea Drift Beach, Seadrift Beach welcomes dogs on leash and offers a small grass park with dunes, tennis courts, and picnic tables.

Getting to Seadrift Beach is very easy – the beach’s access point is at 2 Dipsea Road and there are free parking spaces available here.

If you are looking for nearby attractions, there are many options within a 40-minute drive of Seadrift Beach. Birdwatchers flock to Rodeo Lagoon to see an incredible variety of birds and animals including egrets, great blue herons, tidewater goby, and California brown pelican. If you like hiking, Rodeo Beach Coastal Trail Loop is a steep and dog-friendly loop trail – it is five miles long and follows the bluffs above the Pacific Ocean and Rodeo Beach. Bird Island’s white cliffs offer a prime viewing spot and are covered with cormorants, gulls, and pelicans. Another great attraction near Seadrift Beach is The Marin Headlands Art Institute, an arts organization that hosts an internationally recognized artist-in-residence program and offers tours and exhibitions.

If you get hungry, you can drive 20 minutes to many restaurants near Seadrift Beach. The Italian Aurora Sausalito - Ristorante e Pizzeria serves excellent thin-crust pizzas, homemade pasta, seafood, and vegan items. The Trident is an iconic 1960s-themed restaurant that is built over water and features many international cuisines and a bar. Another good restaurant near Seadrift Beach is the beachfront vegetarian-friendly restaurant Barrel House Tavern that offers steaks, waffles, burgers, beverages, and desserts.
