Located in the southern part of La Jolla, Linda Way Beach Access is an accessway that leads to a generally unnamed beach - which is also sometimes known as Sea Ridge Beach. This rocky beach is situated below a blufftop residential area.
Amenities
The beach near Linda Way Beach Access does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan your visit accordingly. This beach allows dogs on a leash before 9 am and after 6 pm between April and October. Between November and March, the beach allows dogs before 9 am and after 4 pm.

The beach near Linda Way Beach Access offers many fun activities including beachcombing, tide-pooling, sunbathing, wildlife watching, surfing, bodysurfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and boating. The water near this beach is popular with surfers as it offers great waves during the right weather conditions. However, if you are planning to go into the water near this beach, we recommend being careful as the water here is known to have frequent and dangerous rip currents. In addition, we recommend foregoing aquatic recreational activities in the water here after it rains because a nearby storm drain often flows into the ocean near this beach during this time, potentially contaminating it with microbes. This beach offers fantastic Instagram-worthy views of the Pacific Ocean and the nearby Tourmaline Surfing Park shoreline. If you like tide-pooling, there are small tidepools in and around this beach which is home to many animals including urchins, limpets, chiton, small octopi, barnacles, crabs, and sea anemones. In addition, the Birch Aquarium, which is a part of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, offers engaging and informative docent-led tours of tidepools present in a nearby cape known as False Point. Depending on the time of the year, you can also see many kinds of animals in the water near this beach including seals, sea lions, and migrating grey whales.

Getting to the beach near Linda Way Beach Access is easy - the stairway to the beach is located near the intersection near 341 Sea Ridge Drive, where limited street parking is available. However, it is important to note that street parking here is only free during certain hours of the day - we recommend looking out for the signs on the street displaying relevant parking information before street-parking here. In addition, we also recommend visiting this beach wearing appropriate footwear as the rocks on this beach are smooth and loosely organized, making them slippery.

There are many attractions near Linda Way Beach Access. The Comedy Store La Jolla offers humorous performances by some of the finest comedians in the country and has also hosted eminent actors including Michael Keaton and Robin Williams. The Ellen Browning Scripps Park is a great spot for hiking, picnicking, and photography. In addition, the park offers wonderful views of the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego County shoreline.
