Overview
Located in the southernmost point of Orange County, Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach – which is also known as Cypress Shore Beach - is situated near the residential areas of Cyprus Cove and Cyprus Shore. Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach has pale cream sand and is located between two state parks - San Clemente State Beach is on its northern side and San Onofre State Beach is to its south. While the beach has no lifeguards, it has a number of amenities including restrooms, volleyball courts, and a picnic area. The beach is easy to access –it is located near 398 Avenida De Las Palmera. Since the access route to Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach is located within a gated residential community, we recommend getting to the beach via the adjacent state parks – you can simply drive to either San Onofre State Beach or San Clemente State Beach and walk along the coastline to Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach. Paid parking is available at both the state parks.
Activities
Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach offers a number of activities, including beachcombing, surfing, swimming, snorkeling, boating, kayaking, wildlife watching, volleyball, sunbathing, paddleboarding, canoeing, boogie boarding, and kite-surfing. The water near the beach is home to seals, sea-lions, dolphins, and migrating whales. The clear water near the beach is ideal for snorkeling and bodyboarding. We recommend visiting both the state parks near Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach – San Onofre State Beach has exciting surfing spots, hiking trails, and camping spots while San Clemente State Beach offers many fun activities, including fishing and tide pooling.
Attractions
There are many attractions near Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach. The Pacific Marine Mammal Center hosts informative marine wildlife exhibits and a butterfly garden and also features rescued and rehabilitating seals and sea lions. The nearby Laguna Art Museum offers marvelous artworks made by Californian artists. The Surfing Heritage & Culture Center features educative exhibits detailing the rich surf culture in California.
Restaurants
If you're looking for a restaurant, there are many great options. Fratello’s Italian Restaurant is 22 minutes away by car and serves great pasta, pizza, chicken, and eggplant parmigiana. The family-friendly Brick Restaurant is a pizzeria that offers a Do-It-Yourself pizza-making experience for kids. A great budget dining option is the Sugar Blossom Bake Shop which serves delicious baked goodies including cakes, cupcakes, and cinnamon rolls.

If you are looking for a hotel near Cyprus Cove-Cyprus Shore Beach, there are many great options. The 4-Star Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa offers many amenities including a barbecue and picnic area, a fitness center, pools, and a restaurant. The 3-Star The Inn at Laguna Beach has a pool, a rooftop bar, and a hot tub. Another good option is the modestly priced 2-Star C-VU Motel which overlooks the Pacific Ocean and offers a garden with flowerbeds and a backyard with a nice lawn.
