Located in the city of Crescent City, Kellogg Beach is a small remote beach that is a part of the Kellogg Beach County Park. 

Kellogg Beach welcomes dogs on leash and offers few amenities including driftwoods, agates, and fossils. 

There are many fun activities at Kellogg Beach including surfing, camping, fishing, beachcombing, and beach driving – use a 4WD vehicle to prevent getting a very expensive towing ticket out here. 

Getting to Kellogg Beach is very easy – after you get off of Highway 101, drive down to the end of Kellogg Road to reach a free parking lot that is a few yards from the beach’s entrance. Please do not leave valuables in your car here.

If you are looking for attractions near Kellogg Beach, you can drive 12 minutes to Redwood National and State Parks that is spread across 139,000 acres and is home to over 200 exotic plant species including English Ivy, Spotted Knapweed, and Poison Hemlock. Fern Waterfall is a fun tourist attraction with a six-mile-long Boy Scout Tree Trail that is a fantastic place for Instagram-worthy pictures. Ocean World features sea-life creatures housed in million gallons of water tanks including sharks, seals, sea lions, and rays, interactive tide pools, shark petting, and high-flying sea lion shows. Another great attraction near Kellogg Beach is Del Norte County Historical Society, a museum with the finest collections of Native American basketry, weapons, farming and mining equipment, and photographs of the infamous Tsunami disaster of 1964.

If you get hungry, there are many restaurants within a 15-minute drive of Kellogg Beach. The vegetarian-friendly Thai restaurant Sea West offers curries, Pad Thai noodles, satay, and salads along with drinks and ice cream. The Mexican restaurant Gordi Bro's Grub 'N Pub serves authentic Mexican food including tortas, tacos, quesadillas, chili Relleno, and burritos. Another good restaurant near Kellogg Beach is ARTS BBQ that features Eastern European and Armenian cuisines.
