Located in the city of Malibu, Las Flores Beach is a narrow beach situated between the Big Rock and La Costa Beach communities. Also known as Dog Beach and Las Flores State Beach, many beautiful homes sit directly on the beach with views stretching from the Queen’s Necklace to Catalina and the Channel Islands, including beachfront condos, duplexes, and triplexes. Among other pastimes, the beach offers surfing and swimming.  Las Flores Beach extends to the east of the intersection between Las Flores Creek and Pacific Coast Highway near Las Flores Canyon Road and Duke’s Malibu.

If you are looking for nearby attractions, there are many within a 15-minute drive. Pacific Park is an oceanfront amusement park that looks in the direction of Catalina Island offering a total of 12 rides including the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel and a huge roller coaster. It has been featured in over 500 movies, television series, and games such as Fat Albert, Hannah Montana, 90210, Bean, and Grand Theft Auto V. Malibu Country Mart is a popular shopping destination on Pacific Coast Highway with over 40 shops including Toy Crazy, Ron Herman, Oliver Peoples, and Planet Blue, and some of the Malibu’s best restaurants – Tra di Noi and Mr. Chow.  If you like hiking, Solstice Canyon has a six-mile-long trail that dates back to 1865 with incredible views of the Santa Monica Mountains, Pacific Ocean, a waterfall, and a stone cottage. Another great option is Malibu Riding & Tennis Club, a 100-acre beachfront club featuring tennis courts, horse barns, dirt and paved roads, a nightclub, a restaurant, a pool, and a campground.

To access the beach, a small unlocked gate is next to a wooden power pole at 20466 Pacific Coast Highway that leads to the beach through Caltrans property. If you find this gate locked, you can also get here by taking a six-minute rocky walk from Big Rock Beach during low tides. Please note that Las Flores Beach is a public beach below the mean high tide level. Street parking is available along the Pacific Coast Highway.
