Miramar Beach is a popular beach with golden sand that is known for surfing. Miramar Beach has a garden named Mirada Surf West Park and also has a shoreline that has been eroding over time.

Amenities

Miramar Beach has few amenities including a bike path, trails, restrooms, and showers. However, there are no lifeguards here.

Activities

There are many activities here, including biking, hiking, walking, running, birdwatching, and surfing. If you like walking, hiking or biking, there is a three-mile-long public multi-use trail above the bluff. The trail houses the restrooms and showers while being an ideal spot for birdwatching.

Parking

Access to the beach is easy – you’ll find the entrance to the beach by taking a turn on Magellan or Medio Avenue onto Mirada Road.

Attractions

If you’re looking for other things to, there are many nearby attractions. You can explore J V Fitzgerald Marine Reserve which is a 32-acre marine holding. It features the endangered San Bruno elfin butterfly. The Marine Reserve also has a tidepool habitat, marsh, erosive bluffs, clifftop trail, and cypress and eucalyptus forests. Wavecrest Open Space contains a portion of the California Coastal Trail that offers running, biking and jogging opportunities to the visitors. The extremely popular annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival celebrates pumpkins, art, wine, and community, and occurs during the first weekend of October.

If you’re looking for other things to, there are many nearby attractions. Wavecrest Open Space contains a portion of the California Coastal Trail that offers running, biking and jogging opportunities to the visitors. The extremely popular annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival celebrates pumpkins, art, wine, and community, and occurs during the first weekend of October. If you like camping, Pelican Point RV Park is very close – it allows RVs with a length of 40 feet and remains open for the entire year. Pelican Point RV Park has many amenities including, showers, restrooms, laundry room, dog area, fire pits, and barbeques. It offers propane on-site and you can buy wood bundles.

If you're looking for a restaurant, there are excellent nearby options. Miramar Beach Restaurant serves a variety of entrees, sandwiches, main course dishes, vegetarian-friendly dishes, kid-friendly dishes, appetizers, desserts, and wine. Breakwater Barbecue serves brisket, pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, smoked meats, Tex-Mex, and a variety of other special dishes. The Barn is another great place that serves a variety of burgers, milkshakes, craft coffee, sandwiches, draught beer, and has a tranquil beer garden.

Hotels

If you are looking for a hotel, there are many nearby options. Beach House is a 3-Star hotel overlooking a harbor that has an outdoor pool, spa, and fitness center. Quality Inn is a 2-Star hotel that has an exercise room and offers free outdoor parking. The Miramar Inn & Suites is another 2-Star budget-friendly hotel that has free parking and offers free breakfast.
