Platja Es Pinet

Located in the small town of Sant Antoni de Portmany on the island of Ibiza,Pinet Beach is a small, narrow, and beige-colored beach situated on the southwestern shore of the Spanish island of Ibiza.  Also known as Playa es Pinet and Reggae Beach, Pinet Beach is located adjacent to a very famous restaurant named Reggae Bar which is known for hosting awesome parties, live/DJ music, and cocktails.  Pinet Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag designation for its cleanliness.

Pinet Beach offers many amenities including lifeguards, restrooms, showers, and watersports equipment rentals.

There are many fun activities at Pinet Beach including swimming, scuba diving, boating, jet-skiing, sunbathing, and beach walking.  If you are looking for additional activities, the beach also features catamaran excursions with glass-floored catamarans so that you can view the seabed. 

Pinet Beach has a wooden walkway that extends to the shore and also features disability accessible ramps.

Getting to Pinet Beach is very easy – there is a free parking lot that has 30 parking spaces, is located at 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany, and is within walking distance to the beach.

Pinet Beach is situated on the east side of a small fishing village which is believed to be one of the oldest settlements on the island of Ibiza.  This fishing village is a UNESCO World Heritage site and was established by the Phoenicians in the 8th Century BC.

If you are looking for attractions near Pinet Beach, you can drive 10 minutes to Aquarium Cap Blanc that showcases unique exhibitions of fish, sea sponges, sea turtles, and lobsters in an underground cavern.  Bloop Festival is a modern art festival featuring artists, artworks, and spectators coloring the entire island of Ibiza with expositions, art installations, music concerts, and events.  If you like hiking, Punta Torre Rovira is an awesome hiking destination that is located at 07829 Sant Josep De Sa Talaia, provides beautiful views of the Balearic Sea, and has a vista point that is a great spot to click Instagram-worthy pictures.  Gran Piruleto Park Ibiza is an amusement park with slides, climbing nets, ball pits, trampolines, and go-karts.  Another great nearby attraction is Museu Puget, a 15^th-century art mansion that is home to a late-Gothic courtyard and staircase and 130 paintings by the local father-and-son duo Narciso Puget Riquer and Narciso Puget Viñas focusing focusing on capturing colors of life on the island.

There are many restaurants within a three-minute drive of Pinet Beach.  Chiringuito Es Pueto is a nice Mediterranean restaurant that features beach and sea views, indoor seating with live music, and outdoor seating with shaded areas – it offers huevos fritos, gourmet food, bacon, croissants, desserts and drinks.  Ausonia Pizza Bar is a popular dining destination for locals and tourists, has outdoor seating available in a garden area, and serves pizza, bruschetta, cheese chips, salad, pasta, and desserts.  Tapas Ibiza is a lively open-air restaurant in a secluded area serving cocktails, deep fried brie, coconut curry, garlic prawns, tuna, meatballs, braised lamb, and homemade desserts.  Natural Pau is another good restaurant that has a spacious dining room and a terrace with awesome beach and water views.  Natural Pau also offers polpo, sushi, sashimi, cocktails, beer, and wine.  If you are looking for another good nearby restaurant, Bam-Bu-Ku Ibiza has elegant and stylish decor and offers a nice menu including pizza, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, shrimp potato, desserts, coffee, and cocktails.
