Located near the village of Sant Josep de sa Talaia on the south-western coast of Ibiza, Cala Comte – also known as Cala Conta Beach and Platges de Comte - is an 800-meter-long and 30-meter-wide white sand beach with many rocky portions that is often recognized as one of the most beautiful coves in Ibiza. The beach is positioned below a headland along the coast of San Antonio and has a beautiful background of rocky outcrops on its western side, while the eastern side has many dunes that add allure to beauty, along with many oceanfront buildings, including shops, restaurants, and nearby hotels. There are two small islands, S’Espartar Illa des Bosc and Sa Conillera, located just off the coast on the northern side of the beach, and many other small islets to its south, which together provide Instagram-worthy views of the ocean.
The beach is divided into three main sections: Es Comte de Tramontana, Es Comte de Ponent, and Es Raco d’en Xic. Es Comte de Tramontana and Es Comte de Ponent make up the central part of the beach, which is separated by an upscale restaurant and mostly frequented by families. The eastern end of the beach has a secluded cove known as Es Raco d’en Xic, where nudity is practiced. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag certification due to its cleanliness and water quality standards.
