Lake Baldwin Park

Located in the city of Winter Park, Lake Baldwin Park has a long and narrow beach situated on the shores of Lake Baldwin. Spread across 23 acres, Lake Baldwin Park is a very beautiful family-friendly park and has a beach with beige-colored sand. Lake Baldwin Park welcomes dogs off leash during park hours of 8 a.m. to sunset.

Although Lake Baldwin Park does not have lifeguards, the beach park many amenities including restrooms, 25 picnic tables, 15 benches, two pavilions, a boat ramp, and a dog park. 

There are a couple of fun activities at Lake Baldwin Park including boating, picnicking, and beach walking. Please note that swimming is not allowed at Lake Baldwin Park and it remains closed until 12 p.m. every 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of the month.  

Getting to Lake Baldwin Park is very easy – the park’s free parking area is situated at 2000 South Lakemont Avenue and provides easy access to the beach. 

If you are looking for attractions near Lake Baldwin Park, there are many options within a 35-minute drive of the beach. McKee Botanical Gardens is a non-profit subtropical botanical garden with collections of many plants including lantana, clivia, hibiscus, plumeria, and Victoria cruziana. If you like hiking, the nature preserve Coconut Point Sanctuary has a one-mile-long hiking trail that overlooks the Indian River and is home to many rare and endangered plants and animals. Vero Beach Museum of Art features a sculpture garden, museum store, art research library, art exhibitions, art performances, exhibition tours, events for children, cultural celebrations, workshops, and seminars. Another great attraction near Lake Baldwin Park is Andretti Thrill Park, an amusement park with many rides including a pirate ship swing, train ride, merry-go-round swings, horse carousel, go-karts, bumper cars, and miniature golf courses.
