Lake Louisa State Park Beach

Located in the city of Clermont, Lake Louisa State Park Beach is a small and narrow beach situated on the shores of Lake Louisa and is a part of Lake Louisa State Park. Spread across 4,372 acres, Lake Louisa State Park contains many small lakes including Beer Lake, Dude Lake, Hammond Lake, and Dixie Lake in addition to Lake Louisa.  Lake Louisa State Park is home to many species of plants, birds, and animals such as bald cypress, live oak, bald eagles, osprey, deer, bobcat, and gopher tortoises.  Lake Louisa State Park Beach is a well-known spot for horseback riding, camping, fishing, canoeing, and you can click Instagram-worthy pictures here.  Although Lake Louisa State Park does not have lifeguards, the park welcomes pets on leash. 

Lake Louisa State Park Beach offers many amenities including restrooms, showers, picnic tables, playgrounds, trails, camping sites, handicapped accessible ramps, and a fishing pier. If you are looking for additional amenities, you can rent a bicycle, canoe, or kayak and purchase refreshments, insect repellant, fishing worms, firewood, and ice from the Camper Canteen.

Please note that Fort Island Beach remains open from 8 a.m. till sunset throughout the year.

Getting to Lake Louisa State Park Beach is very easy – the park’s paid parking lot is situated in front of the beach at 12585 State Park Drive and charges $5 per vehicle.

If you get hungry, there are many restaurants within a 15-minute drive of Lake Louisa State Park Beach.  The Mexican restaurant Los Magueyes Crystal River features tacos, nachos, quesadillas, Pico guacamole, salads, burritos, and desserts.  Seafood Seller & Café is an incredible waterside restaurant with a nice menu that includes surf ‘n’ turf, oysters, fish tacos, groupers, and shrimps.  Another good restaurant near Lake Louisa State Park Beach is Breakfast Station, a breakfast restaurant featuring pancakes, omelets, sandwiches, tacos, burgers, and homemade pies.
