Tahiti Beach

Located in the city of Coral Gables, Tahiti Beach is a white-sand beach with nearby grassy areas and palm trees. This beach is situated in an upscale neighborhood that is also named Tahiti Beach. 

There are many acitivities on this beach including swimming, beachcombing, surfing, and running.

Getting to Tahiti Beach is easy - the beach is present near the intersection between Isla Dorada Boulevard and Bahia Vista Terrace. However, it is important to note that Tahiti Beach is a gated community that is closed off to access for the general public. The beach and the area around it are only accessible for local residents of the neighborhood of Tahiti Beach.

There are many attractions near Tahiti Beach. The Kampong is a botanical garden that is set in the former estate of famous botanist Dr. David Fairchild and displays a vivid variety of tropical plants. The garden has plants from many regions including the Caribbean and Central and South Americas and it is known for exhibiting many kinds of exquisite fruit cultivars and flowering plants. Ingraham Park is a beautifully-landscaped waterfront park that has walking paths and benches, along with unique public art installations. If you are looking for another attraction near Tahiti Beach, The Barnacle Historic State Park is a five-acre state park that is set around the former home of Ralph Munroe, one of the earliest residents of the neighborhood of Coconut Grove. The state park offers many fun activities including wildlife watching, picnicking, geocaching, and hiking - this state park also has remnants of old native hardwood forests, along with Munroe’s home (which is now a museum and known as the Barnacle) and it also has replicas of two 19th century sailboats designed by Munroe named the Egret and the Flying Proa.
