Located in the neighborhood of South Beach, Lummus Park Beach - also known as Glitter Beach - is a large and popular beach with white sand. This beach is situated near a 30-acre recreational park named Lummus Park. In addition, it has a beautiful backdrop of amazing high-rise buildings.

In addition, rental facilities for beach chairs, umbrellas, and water sporting equipment are also available near the beach. Dogs are not allowed in Lummus Park Beach.

Lummus Park Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, wildlife watching, volleyball, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, boating, surf-skiing, water-skiing, jet-skiing, and parasailing. Parking
Getting to Lummus Park Beach is easy - the park and the beach are present along Ocean Drive’s intersections with 5th Street and 15th Street. This beach is also easily accessible from Florida State Road A1A and metered parking spaces are also available near this beach. However, we recommend visiting this beach early as the parking spaces near this beach fill up pretty quickly.
Attractions
There are many attractions near Lummus Park Beach. Flamingo Park is a popular recreational park that has a baseball stadium, children’s playground, walking trails, handball and racquetball courts, a softball field, a running track, a football field, and a soccer field. The park has marvelous tropical landscaping and it also has an aquatic center with two pools. The Museum of Illusions has more than forty mesmerizing three-dimensional illusions. These illusions are based upon popular culture, the fine arts, and current affairs and are created by eminent illusion artists. In addition, the museum also has a "Smash It!" room where visitors can smash objects and release their latent anger and stress. If you are looking for another attraction near Lummus Park Beach, the Wolfsonian-Florida International University (also known as The Wolfsonian-FIU) is a museum which seeks to showcase the influence of art and design on human lives. The museum has artistic and historic exhibitions from the period between the mid 19th and the mid 20th centuries. While the museum primarily focuses on Europe and the United States, it also has exhibitions on Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Currently the museum’s collections comprise more than 200,000 objects.
