Located in the city of Flagler Beach, Gamble Rogers State Park has a half-mile-long and wide beach that is backed by the Halifax River and the Matanzas River. Spread across 144 acres, Gamble Rogers State Park was named after Gamble Rogers – a Florida folk singer and is also known as Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area. Gamble Rogers State Park is an awesome destination for swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, coastal camping, beachcombing, and watching loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles. Gamble Rogers State Park’s beach has beautiful golden-beige-colored sand and is surrounded by many old fallen tree stumps where you will many families and couples.

Flagler Beach Historical Museum is home to many collections of artifacts and images from World War II, local surfing legends, and severe weather events. The 18-hole waterside golf course Cypress Knoll Golf & Country Club hosts many events and offers a restaurant and bar. Another great attraction near Gamble Rogers State Park is Flagler Beach Municipal Pier, an 800-feet-long pier well-known for fishing and birdwatching.
