Located along the Humboldt County shoreline, Martin Creek Beach - also known as Secret Beach - is an extremely remote yet beautiful beach with brown sand and rocky portions. This beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs. There are many interesting rock formations around the beach including sea stacks and a rocky archway. Some of the larger rock formations near Martin Creek Beach also have official names including the White Rock (which is present near the northern part of the beach) and the Green Rock (which is present near the southern part of the beach). Martin Creek Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities, so plan your trip carefully. Dogs are allowed on the beach.

However, this plaque is situated near a spot where Stagecoach Road takes a steep bend and is often difficult to see. You can park in the street parking spaces present near this plaque and then walk on the steep, slippery, and vegetation-covered access trail to Martin Creek Beach.
